Trying out a new coil geometry called the Fortune Tiller. It conforms to an idea of Jamie Buturff drawn from the "fortune teller origami" known to most school children. The 124875 sequence appears in a 3D form on 2 layers. The supporting pyramid has the proportions of the great Khufu pyramid in Egypt. Still playing around with the winding sequence and the height of the small torus top coil. Here is a try to describe the monofilar winding sequence. There are 8 pins on top T1-T8, and 8 pins on bottom coil, B1 - B8, both clockwise from top. Used #24 gauge magnet wire, the video shows only 2 complete turns. Here is the entire winding sequence for the Fortune Tiller Coil B1-B2,B2-T2, T2-B3, B3-B2, B2-T2, T2-B3 B3-B4, B4-T4, T3-B5, B5-B4, B4-T4, T4-B5 B5-B6, B6-T6, T6-B7, B7-B6, B6-T6, T6-B7 B7-B8, B8-T8, T8- B1, B1- B8, B8-T8, T8-B1 One turn done, repeat sequence for turn 2, 3,4, etc. A lot more things to try out.
